On December 5th, 2021, I had the pleasure of capturing an unforgettable birthday celebration at The Abbey in downtown Orlando. This high-profile event featured none other than the fabulous and talented Katya Zamolodchikova as the entertainment, and let me tell you, it was an absolute blast!
As a story-teller, I always look forward to shooting events that are a little bit out of the ordinary, and this one definitely fit the bill. The atmosphere was electric with excitement and anticipation as guests arrived and took their seats. Katya is a true professional and put on an incredible show. Not only is she an amazing performer, but she is also one of the kindest and funniest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She made sure to take the time to chat with each and every guest and make them feel special.
In addition to capturing Katya’s performance, I was also able to snap some incredible shots of the birthday person and their friends and family. It’s always such a joy to see people having a good time and celebrating special occasions, and this event was no exception. The birthday boy Drew and his wife, Rebecca, were beaming with happiness and their loved ones were clearly overjoyed to be there.
One of the highlights of the evening for me was getting the chance to photograph Katya up close and personal. She was stunning, and she was so kind and gracious while I snapped away. It’s not every day that I have the opportunity to work with a celebrity, and I’m grateful for the experience.
All in all, it was a truly unforgettable evening and I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to capture it. The birthday person and their guests were a blast to work with and Katya was an absolute professional. I can’t wait for the chance to shoot another event like this one in the future!
