John & Jeanneane got engaged last year but have been waiting to plan a celebration for 2018. When I first got their inquiry, they stated something that separated them from everyone else. In ending her email, Jeanneane said “It would be amazing to have you celebrate with us”.
Let me just tell you, anyone who is interested in working with me by having me photograph your big day or not, how significant it is to really express yourselves in the initial inquiry email. When inquiring with you photographer, the words you use really do make us happy and motivate us to WANT to work with you more than others. In this case, I had another couple who inquired for the same date but because Jeanneane’s inquiry was much more personal and inviting, it was a no brainer who it was that I wanted to spend that day with.
I spend the day with them, getting to know them and their love for one another. I am all for couples who want to laugh at the process because it makes for genuine smiles. There was not a moment where we were not laughing about how “natural” the crazy things I had them do felt hahaha!
Because John & Jeanneane live in Dallas we scheduled their engagement session during their trip down to Tampa during the holidays and my final engagement of the year. The day started with some coffee in Oxford Exchange where their wedding will take place in late 2018.
